Why do I need to work with a Graduate Gemologist?

You should work with a gemologist to insure full knowledge on the item you’re looking to purchase. By having full understanding of what you are purchasing you can buy with confidence! Ask yourself the next time you go anywhere to purchase jewelry; Am I currently working with a graduate Gemologist?

Is there actual jewelry in the office?

While I do have a small supply of samples to help my clients get an idea of what they would like to purchase (ring size, diamond shape, mounting style, etc.), I do not work with a fully stocked inventory like most jewelry stores do. This frees me up to connect my clients directly to manufacturers.

I’m a personal gemologist with an office (not a traditional jewelry showroom.) I work directly with manufacturers to provide jewelry to my clients. I do not have jewelry in my office to view - this is how I save on over head costs that come with inventory. I usually meet with my clients and work through options online and have items sent to my office with no obligation on their behalf.

Do you repair Jewelry?

Yes, I can repair jewelry. I can size rings, solder jump rings, and set gemstones. Anything past my capabilities I will be sending to my family business in Boston.

Do you service watches?

I can replace batteries, with no water seal on site. I have the connections to have your watch serviced beyond that. I can also adjust watch sizing and replace leather straps.

Do you offer jewelry appraisal services?

Yes, as a certified G.I.A. Graduate Gemologist I have the credentials insurance agencies need. I also have the gemological tools and equipment to appraise your jewelry. I am a professional jewelry appraiser in Little Rock, Arkansas. I’m also a part of The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) and I’m held to high standards of integrity and business ethics.

Do you offer same day appraisals?

It takes hours to write up a legal document for insurance purposes to be certified by NAJA. This is why I can no longer offer same day appraisal services.

What is your Return Policy?

Items may be returned within 14 days from the date of purchase. Merchandise must be in original unworn condition and accompanied by original box with all appraisals and original certificate intact. Special orders altered pieces including ring sizing and custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable.

Do you Buy diamonds?

Do you Buy other rocks?

I must add that I specialize in minerals. I rarely work with rough igneous rock, rough sedimentary rocks, or rough metamorphic rocks. Examples of rough Igneous rocks include; Granite, basalt, and pumice. Examples of rough Sedimentary rocks include; Sandstone, Shale, and limestone. Examples of rough Metamorphic rocks include; Marble, Schist, and Slate.
